Lakiesha Johnson ANCOR’s 2022 Direct Support Professional of the Year

Lakiesha Johnson has been selected as American Network of Community Options and Resources’ (ANCOR) 2022 DSP of the Year Award in the relationships category. Lakiesha was selected for recognition from among more than 300 nominations, and this award serves as a testament to her work to support individuals in the community. Lakiesha is admired for her kindness, commitment and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that individuals are living their best life. During a year of critical short staffing, Lakiesha has consistently volunteered to work overtime to cover the gaps on the schedule. She is a devoted single mother of three active teenage boys and still manages to give 200% to her workplace.

Kimberly Britt-Murrell was honored at the 2022 Hope House Foundation Annual Dinner as the 2022 recipient of the Direct Support Professional of the Year! She was nominated by multiple people throughout the agency with comments on her welcoming smile, willingness to help, inspired passion and enthusiasm for our mission. She leads and lives the mission of the agency and supports the inclusion of so many people.

Hope House Receives Resolution from House of Delegates

Hope House Foundation was honored for its leadership in the development of individualized, integrated and community-based support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by the Virginia House of Delegates. The Resolution was sponsored by Delegate Nadarius Clark for Hope House’s work in the 79th District. Hope House staff members Kim Rose and Keisha Turner were introduced by Delegate Clark to his fellow House members in the gallery when the Resolution was read.
